If you've already read the "What is Forex?" section then you should know what Forex market is and what it is all about. If not, please, do it. There are five essential aspects of foreign currency market a beginner trader (and an old one as well) should be aware of:
-Forex Fundamental Analysis
-Forex Technical Analysis
-Money Management
-Forex Trading Psychology
-Forex Brokerage
Understanding and mastering these sides of trading are crucial to organize your Forex trading experience.
Forex Fundamental Analysis
Fundamental analysis is the process of market analysis which is done regarding only "real" events and macroeconomic data which is related to the traded currencies. Fundamental analysis is used not only in Forex but can be a part of any financial planning or forecasting. Concepts that are part of Forex fundamental analysis: overnight interest rates, central banks meetings and decisions, any macroeconomic news, global industrial, economical, political and weather news. Fundamental analysis is the most natural way of making Forex market forecasts. In theory, it alone should work perfectly, but in practice it is often used in pair with technical analysis. Recommended e-books on Forex fundamental analysis:
Reminiscences of a Stock Operator
What Moves the Currency Market?
Forex Technical Analysis
Technical analysis is the process of market analysis that relies only on market data numbers - quotes, charts, simple and complex indicators, volume of supply and demand, past market data, etc. The main idea behind Forex technical analysis is the postulate of functional dependence of the future market technical data on the past market technical data. As well as with fundamental analysis, technical analysis is believed to be self-sufficient and you can use only it to successfully trade Forex. In practice, both analysis methods are used. Recommended e-books on Forex fundamental analysis are:

Candlesticks For Support And Resistance
Trend Determination
Money Management in Forex
Even if you master every possible method of market analysis and will make very accurate predictions for future Forex market behavior, you won't make any money without a proper money management strategy. Money management in Forex (as well as in other financial markets) is a complex set of rules which you develop to fit your own trading style and amount of money you have for trading. Money management play very important role in getting profits out of Forex; do not underestimate it. To get more information on money management you can read these books:
-Risk Control and Money Management
-Money Management (A chapter from The Mathematics of Gambling)
Forex Trading Psychology
While learning a lot about market analysis and money management is an obvious and necessary step to be a successful Forex traders, you also need to master your emotions to keep your trading performance under strict control of mind and intuition. Controlling your emotions in Forex trading is often a balancing between greed and cautiousness. Almost any known psychology practices and techniques can work for Forex traders to help them keep to their trading strategies rather to their spontaneous emotions. Problems you'll have to deal while being a professional Forex trader:
-Your greed
-Overtrading
-Lack of discipline
-Lack of confidence
-Blind following others' forecasts
These are very professional books on psychology written specially for financial traders:
-Calming The Mind So That Body Can Perform
-Emotion Free Trading
-The Miracle of Discipline
Forex Brokerage
Every Forex trader like any other professional needs tools to trade. One of these tools, which is vital to be in market, is a Forex broker and specifically for Internet - on-line Forex broker - a company which will provide real-time market information to trader and bring his orders to Forex market. While choosing a right Forex broker things to look for are the following:

Forex Ebook : Using Candlesticks for Support-Resistance
Observation is the best friend of the technical analyst. By watching the markets, John noticed something interesting about candlestick charts, which he uses extensively. He realized the real bodies used in candlestick charting can be used to determine significant support and resistance points.
Although they have only recently become popular in the Western Hemisphere, Japanese traders have been using the candlestick charting technique for hundreds of years. Candlestick charts, much like the bar chart equivalent, utilize the open, high, low and close activity to plot a period (usually a day). In candlestick charting, unlike bar charting where the highs and lows tend to be the focus, the opens and closes are the most significant.

Forex daily analysis- 2008-07-11
Uptrend is still intact in a triangle configuration. It should continue to rally to 1.5813 or 1.5870 if support around 1.576 hold. After which a pullback to 1.5760 - 1.5740 zone is possible.
USD-CHF
Current fall seems to be over near 1.0266 or 1.0242 for a rebound towards 1.0290 - 1.0308 area.
USD-JPY
Corrective dips should ideally halt near 107.07 or 106.89 for one more thrust upwards towards 107.25 - 107.43 area or 107.8 in extention. Fall below 106.70 puts it back on a downward path.

EUR-JPY
It should consolidate between 168.23 and 169.46. A break of one of these points would cause further bullish or bearish move.
EUR-GBP
Uptrend is still intact in a triangle configuration. It should continue to rally to 0.7986 or 0.8023 if support around 0.7968 hold. After which a pullback to 0.7968 - 0.7958 zone is possible.
AUD-USD
Currently uptrend should end around 0.9653 - 0.9657 area. A correction down to below 0.9562 is expected. A rise above 0.9696 will abort the expected correction.

SYMW - SymPowerco Corporation CEO John Davenport announces benchmark performance and operational details of SymPowerco Corporation's unique Flowing Electrolyte Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (FE DMFC).
The company's operational 5 Watt (5W) FE DMFC, located in the laboratories of SymPowerco's development partner, Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, proves the viability of the Flowing Electrolyte principle by demonstrating a 30% improvement in output of the fuel cell stack compared to previous designs. The stack generates up to 5 Watts of power with all cells in the stack converging towards essentially identical performance.
The 5W stack demonstrates that the flowing electrolyte design effectively eliminates inefficiencies caused by methanol crossover, a performance-limiting factor found in other DMFC designs. The 5W stack also demonstrates a viable method of removing methanol from the recirculated electrolyte, a method that indicates the potential for several additional operational and performance benefits in future commercial designs.
The 5W stack has provided SymPowerco and its partners with design criteria and performance data that are serving as benchmarks in the design of the imminent next phase of our Flowing Electrolyte DMFC development program.
Stated SymPowerco CEO, John Davenport, "We are very pleased with this 5W unit. It's going to continue to provide us with design and performance data, even as we ramp up the many aspects of our fuel cell program. Almost everything we do next will be based on the benchmarks provided by this fuel cell stack and the hybrid power system that it powers."
SymPowerco Corporation develops advanced fuel cell and power delivery systems for the rapidly growing personal transportation and portable power system markets being created by today's energy and environmental challenges.

US LABOR DEPARTMENT WEEKLY UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS
The weekly Initial Unemployment Claims figure for theweek ended 27thJun-08 clocked in at 404,000. This is thehighest claims level since a 58-month high of 406,000 wasreached in the week ended 28th Mar-08. Until Mar-08, thehighest level this business cycle had been a level of425,000 reached in Sep-05 in the aftermath of thedestruction brought upon by Hurricane Katrina. As a general guide, initial claims exceeding the 350,000-400,000 band raise red flags as they are consideredsuggestive of the onset of a recession. Unemployment claims spike, signal USeconomy is f lirt ing with a recessionThe companion to the initial claims data, the ContinuingClaims or the insured unemployed figure for the weekpreceding clocked in at 3.116 mn, although off from therecent peak 3.136 mn level reached at the end of May-08.Recent gains in claims have reached 30.3% above cyclicaltrough levels. Gains exceeding 26% have neverpreviously failed to precede US recessions in the past.Pickup from cyclicaltroughs accelerating!Although markets had celebrated a near-miss appointmentwith a US recession back in Mar-08 on the Bear Stearnsrescue, we think a US recession has been postponedrather than avoided. A 4Q-08 appointment with a USrecession now appears to be looming, in our assessment.
MONTHLY UNEMPLOYMENT RATE-US 2008
The Bureau of Labor Statistics also released theseasonally adjusted Jun-08 Unemployment Rate, placingit at 5.5%, unchanged from May-08. A steep climb wasreported in May when the rate climbed 0.5% in a singlemonth. The trough this business expansion cycle wasestablished at 4.4% in Oct-06.Still-low unemployment rates mask underemployment. Many amongst nominally classified as employed havebeen involuntarily assigned to part-time payrolls from fulltimeemployment. The underemployment rate stands at9.7%, up from 8.3% in May-07.

market review-US 20080707
ADP Employment Report data showed that the non-farmprivate sector in the US shed a total of 79,000 workers inthe month of Jun-08. The total was derived from a sum ofthe loss of 76,000 workers in Goods Producing Industries(including 34,000 in the Construction industry), the loss of3,000 workers amongst Service Providers, made up of theloss of 3,000 jobs at Financial Services companies. InMay, ADP had reported a revised gain of 25,000 jobs.Feb-08 was the most recent month that the US privatesector had shed jobs. It had also been the first monthsince Jun-03 that net job losses were reported.
Automatic Data Processing (ADP) is a business processoutsourcing organisation that maintains payrolls for morethan 600,000 businesses in the US.
The ADP data are in rough alignment with the Bureau ofLabor Statistics Jun-08 Non-Farm Payrolls data whichclocked in at a loss of 62,000 jobs, unchanged from theMay-08 figure. The Bureau reports that the US economyhas been shedding jobs since the month of Oct-07.
The main difference between the 2 time series is thatBureau’s Non-Farm Payrolls data also cover public sectorjobs data and are hence more comprehensive.
